The Kilkenny Traveller Primary Care Group launched the “Travellers Promoting Traveller’s Health” DVD this morning, 14th April in the Kilkenny County Council Chambers. Representatives from Traveller Primary Care groups: Kilkenny, Wexford, and Carlow, Kilkenny LEADER Partnership, Kilkenny County Council, Kilkenny Sport Partnership, HSE, local traveller communities and other community members gathered for an introduction to the informative dvd. The DVD addressed a broad range of issues that affect the traveller community. From traveller culture to health issues to horse care, the material will provide a overall educational tool for travellers in every part.
This initiative has been funded by Kilkenny LEADER Partnership, Kilkenny County Council, Community & Culture Section and Health Promotion & Improvement, Health & Wellbeing Division HSE.
