The Suir Boat and Craft Club’s latest project is an amazing mini replica of the old Irish caravan.  The project was funded by Kilkenny LEADER Partnership (KLP) and unveiled to the public by local Councillor, Tomás Breathnach. Craftsmen and women from the community worked meticulously on the project over the past year.

Cllr. Tomás Breathnach complimented them on their attention to detail and workmanship displayed.   He also thanked KLP for their support for the project and commented on how important projects of this nature were to the local community.   The club is a hub for visitors and their latest addition created a buzz and interest around the community.

Projects such as these will be used for displays at local shows and regattas to promote Irish history. The Suir Boat and Craft Club have already embarked on their next project which involves building a trailer to transport the caravan to various display venues.

Suir Boat and Craft club received funding of €1,500.00 under KLP LCDP Programme funding for Local Community Projects.
