County Kilkenny Leader Partnership Company Ltd. administers the Rural Social Scheme (RSS) on behalf of the department of Social Protection in County Kilkenny.
Community Groups who wish to avail of the Rural social Scheme may apply now.
Rural Social Scheme 1st April 2013 – 31st March 2014
For: COMMUNITY /VOLUNTARY GROUPS
Applications are now being sought from new and existing Community/voluntary groups who wish to avail of the scheme. In order to secure participants for the coming year 1st April 2013 to the 31st March 2014 groups are now requested to submit application forms/ work plans for the above period.
Some of the works by participants on RSS Scheme are as follows:
• Maintaining & enhancing Waymarked Ways agreed walks and Bog Rd.
• Energy Conservation work for the elderly & less well off
• Village & countryside enhancement
• Social Care & Care for the elderly, community Care for both pre-school & afterschool
• Environmental maintenance work-maintenance & caretaking of community & sporting facilities
• Projects relating to not for profit cultural & heritage centres
• Secretarial/Administration duties for the local communities
• Any other appropriate community project identified during the course of the scheme
