The First of It’s Kind

Funded by Kilkenny LEADER Partnership, the Irish Food Co-op  is the first operation of it’s kind in Ireland.  The Co-op was officially launched on the 25th July in the gardens of Butler House Kilkenny.

It marks the beginning of an exciting venture for 7 Irish artisan food companies – Mileeven, Tastefully Yours, Knockanore Cheese, Killowen Farm, O’Neills, The Little Mill and Carrigbyrne Farmhouse.

The aim of Irish Food Co-op is to  maximise their  efficiency and sales through shared national distribution.  For retailers, the ‘one entity’ nature of the Irish Food Co-op brings considerable benefits including one contact, one invoice and one delivery.

Many thanks to Barrow Noir Suir Development for their valued contribution to this project.
