Tour of St Mullins + Walk to Graiguenamanagh

Cost of Tour: €5
Tour of St Mullins Graveyard and surrounds where the history of Ireland has been literally written in stone over the centuries. The Talk will cover Ancient pagan times and mythology associated with
St Muillins – Cu Chulainn and Suibhne Geilt. The 7th Century Monastic Settlement of St Moling, The coming of the Vikings. The arrival of the Normans, Medieval Pilgrimages, Burial of Art King of Leinster -1417,
Penal times and Penal Altar,1798 Rebellion and burial place of rebels and leaders, War of Independence. Tour of Museum – a social and cultural history.
After Talk a leisurely walk to Graiguenamanagh by the beautiful barrow and conclude with a picnic lunch at the outdoor activities hub in Graiguenamanagh.

And gets a tour a unique experience to see one of Ireland’s oldest working woollen mills where you will learn about Graignamanagh’s link with wool since 1204, Hear about the Cushen family history since early 1800s and their unique process and see in operation a 1900s spinning mule.
